Wycott, the founder's dog, inspired the name and kept the whole thing rooted in something personal from the beginning.
About WYCO
One name turned into a whole system of passions.
WYCO is a personal ecosystem built around the passions the founder keeps coming back to: music, media, writing, food, code, repairs, experiments, and making ideas feel real. It is not supposed to look perfectly uniform, because the work inside it is not perfectly uniform either.
The name itself was inspired by the founder's dog, Wycott. That origin matters because WYCO was never meant to feel cold or corporate. It comes from something personal, and it keeps growing as long as the passions behind it keep moving through music, cooking, photography, art, code, and everything else that continues to shape it.
Some branches are technical, some are creative, some are practical, and a lot of the good stuff happens where they overlap.
Music, code, food, writing, repairs, and active builds all come from the same set of interests, so none of it feels separate for very long.
How It Started
WYCO came from a real name, then turned into a place for real interests.
The WYCO name was inspired by Wycott, the founder's dog, and that gave the whole project an identity that felt personal instead of manufactured. From there, it became a way to organize the passions the founder was already drawn to: music, visual ideas, writing, recipes, technical experiments, repair work, and the projects that keep shifting between those spaces.
So the goal was never to force everything into one narrow brand voice. The goal was to build one home that could hold different kinds of work without flattening them into the same exact mood.
How It Works
Each branch gives a different passion its own room.
Instead of stuffing everything onto one page, WYCO splits its identity into branches. Each branch can keep its own visual language, tone, and type of content while still belonging to the same larger system.
That means the full WYCO picture is intentionally a little abstract and layered in the best way: creative work next to practical work, digital systems next to hands-on craft, polished pieces next to active experiments.
Branches
What each part of WYCO is about
Every branch has its own tone, but they all come from the same creative and practical center.
Waves
Music, sound, and media motion.
Waves holds music-focused work, media pieces, and audio-centered releases. It is the branch for rhythm, polish, performance energy, and the more electric side of the WYCO identity.
Whimsy
Writing, imagination, and worldbuilding.
Whimsy is where stories, creative writing, imaginative concepts, and more poetic ideas can breathe. It carries the softer, stranger, and more narrative side of the ecosystem.
Culinary
Recipes, food media, and kitchen identity.
Culinary is built around recipes, food visuals, and the satisfaction of making something tangible and shareable. It adds warmth and hospitality to the overall system.
Nexus
Code, bots, systems, and experiments.
Nexus is the technical branch. It covers websites, repositories, automation, tools, and digital systems. It is the place where ideas get structured, tested, and built into something functional.
Workbench
Repairs, restoration, and hands-on craft.
Workbench is the practical branch. It focuses on repairs, refurbishing, physical projects, and process-driven craftsmanship. It gives WYCO a grounded, real-world edge.
Projects
The live board for what is actively moving.
Projects is where current builds are tracked in the open. It acts like the pulse check for the ecosystem, showing what is still being shaped, refined, or pushed forward right now.
What Ties It Together
WYCO is really about making room for the full mix.
Some ideas become songs. Some become websites. Some become recipes, repair jobs, written pieces, or long-running experiments. WYCO exists so those things do not have to be forced into tidy boxes that do not really fit.
The whole system is layered, personal, and a little chaotic in a real way, because the same passions keep showing up through different forms of work.
