What This Policy Covers

This policy covers browser storage used by the WYCO hub, branches, Dashboard, Projects, and site guide. Linked standalone sites and services may use different storage and consent controls; review the policy on the destination site.

How WYCO Uses Cookies and Browser Storage

The shared WYCO hub code does not set advertising cookies. It uses localStorage for the consent choice and site guide history, and IndexedDB for previously saved guide images. These browser storage technologies are separate from cookies.

WYCO Guide Local Storage

WYCO Guide uses localStorage to keep the active chat selection and up to five recent chat histories on the visitor's device. Images saved by the earlier assistant may remain in IndexedDB or localStorage. An identifier saved by the earlier assistant may also remain until site data is cleared; the guide does not use it. This storage supports local conversation history and saved-image display; it is not used for advertising.

Visitors can delete chats in the guide. History is limited to five chats with up to 24 messages each. Clearing cookies and site data through browser settings removes the remaining locally stored WYCO Guide information from that browser.

Consent Preferences

The popup saves either Approve or Deny in localStorage under wycoCookieConsent and then closes. Both choices are remembered. This control currently records a preference; it does not disable guide history, clear existing storage, or block requests to content providers. To remove stored information or limit storage, use your browser's site-data settings.

Third-Party Services

WYCO areas accessed through wyco.info may use third-party tools such as hosting platforms, embedded media services, or contact and request form providers. Those services may set their own cookies or use their own storage technologies under their own policies.

Managing Cookies

Most browsers allow visitors to manage cookies through browser settings, including blocking, clearing, or limiting stored data. Visitors may also clear locally stored site preferences from their browser if they want to reset consent choices.

Policy Updates

This Cookie Policy may be updated as WYCO features, branches, tools, project areas, or third-party services change over time.
